The Linda’s Legacy Foundation is a non-profit
organization established to raise funds for use in elevating lung cancer awareness, particularly among women, as well as educate
about its devastating and often fatal effects. More women die of lung cancer each year than of breast, cervical and ovarian
cancer combined.
The Foundation will also raise funds to support
research for development of a reliable early detection method; better treatments; and assist victims of lung cancer and their
families with special needs. All funds raised by the Foundation will stay in northeast Florida to directly benefit those in
our area needing assistance.
Most funds for the Foundation are generated
through the annual Linda’s Legacy Tennis Tournament, a women’s doubles four-day tennis tournament and celebrity pro-am, held
in memory of Linda Paul-Skeeles who lost her battle with lung cancer in 2005.
